The land of Kayhos is mostly a city state and its surrounding territory. All the land that is known is part of Kayhos, and the parliament rules over every known individual. No one has ever even heard of an outsider before, let alone met one (although they do exist).
The name Kayhos is used both to describe the city and the entire known world. Humans, Dragonborns, and Tieflings all live in relative harmony within the city. The only real minority is the Genasi that are not part of the parliament. Kayhos is bordered by the Trume Mountains to the north, and the Eastern Sea to the East. The west and the south stretch on for miles and miles. The further you get from the city, the more isolated people are. Most are farmers, living off the land and trusting no one. Many people have fled to these outskirts to avoid having Emere take their daughters into his chambers. Fleeing does not always work, unfortunately.
The people in Kayhos are in such poverty that money almost doesn’t exist. Most of the commerce is straight bartering. A few copper pieces do see their way into the economy through the orcs that are paid by the parliament to keep the masses passive. However, these copper pieces don’t usually circulate much, as people tend to horde real money in case they ever need to bribe someone.
